An impact path reduces the graph to a linear chain of claimed impact leading to a specific user role. Each step is a claim of its own, and the chain does not establish a cause.

An impact path needs an unbroken chain of approved relationships that reaches a user role. Where one step of that chain is missing, no path can be drawn, and the map shows the separate parts instead.
